SANTA ANA, Cagayan – The Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a three- day intensive Seminar on Developing Social Media Management, Storytelling for Public Information and Content Creation Workshop and Stress Management for the Apayao Public Information Office (APIO) last November 27-29, 2024 held at the Rai Atrium Hotel and Restaurant, Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
With the training, APIO staff are expected to deliver better work output and performance in providing reliable, timely, and quality information.
The training was initiated by Loyd Rio Karl B. Sion, Officer in Charge of the Human Resource Management Office, and Attorney Rina Valerie A. Cafirma, Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Information Office.
Some 25 participants actively participated in the training which included other personnel of other offices who could help in the management of information for the provincial government.
The HRMO said that in today’s digital landscape, social media has emerged as a vital tool for communication, engagement, and information dissemination, and thus the training.
It is hoped that APIO will effectively navigate this landscape to connect with their audiences, foster community engagement, and share important narratives.
The seminar-workshop, according to the HRMO, aims to equip participants with essential skills in social media management, storytelling, and content creation, empowering them to enhance their public information strategies.
This initiative not only promotes individual skills development but also contributes to the overall effectiveness of public information dissemination, ensuring that critical narratives reach and resonate with the intended audiences.
During the training workshop three resource speakers were invited to discuss various topics, including Bryan Arvin PJ A. Cabanos – a vlogger/ content creator, Janford B. Leguiab from Globe Telecom, Inc. based in Bonifacio Global City, and Ma. Teresa M. Bermudez, head teacher at the Luna National High School.
The three discussed Basics of Social Media Management, Storytelling Techniques for Public Information, Target Audience Analysis for Effective Storytelling, Social Media Content Planning and Scheduling, Understanding Stress and its Impact and Stress Management Techniques. By Michelle Acantilado
