LUNA, Apayao – The Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) conducted by the Apayao Police Provincial Office (APPO) from November 10 – 16, 2024, yielded substantial results in the province’s fight against crime.
Four provincial-level top most wanted persons, listed as No. Two (2), Three (3), Four (4), and Five (5) Top Most Wanted were apprehended.
These criminals were wanted for wrongful deeds such as acts of lasciviousness, violations of Sections 11 and 12 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165), and rape.
Two additional suspects were captured for committing slight physical injury and adultery, respectively.
Further, the APPO confiscated two firearms and facilitated the voluntary surrender of four others.
Likewise, efforts to combat illegal logging resulted in the seizure of 851 board feet of lumber valued at ₱32,575.
The week-long operation also led to the arrest of a suspect for attempted homicide and a surrender of an explosive to the 1st Apayao Police Provincial Mobile Force Company (APPMFC).
