LUNA, Apayao – The Apayao Police Provincial Office (APPO), led by Provincial Director PCOL Arnold Razote, launched its 2025 National Women’s Month celebration during the flag-raising ceremony at Camp Gov. Elias K. Bulut Sr. and Training Center in Sta. Lina, Luna on March 3, 2025.
With the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” and the sub-theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” said event places the importance of equal rights, opportunities, and representation for women in all sectors including their role and contributions in law enforcement.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has long carried the image of a male-driven force, yet every day, women in uniform break that notion. Women’s Month is a statement, more than a celebration. It tells the public that law enforcement is not about gender but about dedication, skill, and the will to serve. The badge is not exclusive to men, and the responsibility of keeping communities safe is not theirs alone. Women in the PNP stand on equal ground and continue to prove that security, leadership, and resilience know no gender.
Meanwhile, Luna Mayor Josephine Bangsil, the guest of honor and keynote speaker during the activity, expressed appreciation for the women of APPO and lauded their dedication and contributions to law enforcement and public service.
In past years, APPO’s Women’s Month activities have included outreach programs, clean-up drives, tree planting, and programs for senior women. This year’s celebration continues to uphold the principles of RA 9710, the Magna Carta of Women, reiterating the commitment to gender equality, empowerment, and inclusive development.
