FLORA, Apayao – The municipal government organized an outreach program called “Serbisyo sa Baryo” at Sitio Kakalinggaan (Kalinga Village) in Barangay Malayugan, Flora, Apayao on Friday, October 13, 2023.
The initiative included the distribution of food packs, free medical consultations/check-ups, and complimentary haircuts to 28 households belonging to indigenous peoples (IPs).
The IPs benefitting from the program expressed gratitude as well as demonstrated positive response to the work of institutions and agencies involved to make the outreach possible.
Part of the ongoing “Serbisyo sa Baryo” initiative aims to improve accessibility and convenience for the residents of Flora to avail of much needed government services.
Said collaborative effort involves the Office of the Municipal Social Welfare & Development, DTTB & RHU Health Team, personnel of the Philippine National Police, in coordination with the 17th IB 5th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army (Mallig-based patrol) and Malayugan barangay officials.
