QUEZON CITY – The provincial government of Apayao, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), was conferred the prestigious Gawad Sulong Award under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) on August 30, 2024 held at the Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City.
The event highlighted the outstanding achievements, dedication, and unwavering commitment of SLP participants, employees, and partners who are actively involved in the program.
Jocelyn Loyon, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, and Premadona Salazar, focal person of Sustainable Livelihood Program, received the Best Program Partner Award at the national level.
The provincial government through PSWDO is a long term partner agency of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Team Apayao, according to the PSWDO, has been recognized for their continuous efforts and unwavering support to the programs activities of the DSWD. The office added that the award would not have been possible if it were not for the commitment of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. in giving his full backing to the programs pushed by the PSWDO.
