LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) convened a year-end meeting on December 7, 2023, at the Apayao Eco-Tourism and Sports Complex in Luna, to evaluate the strides made to the provincial livestock program.
This gathering aimed to provide an up-to-date snapshot of the current state of the animal industry in the province to identify existing gaps and potential areas for improvement within the current livestock program. Simultaneously, it aimed to devise targeted strategies to address these concerns and to tackle the most pressing issues faced by the industry.
Prominent attendees included Provincial Administrator Atty. Edmar Pascua, Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Ralph Verzon, Provincial Budget Officer Jovenal Leguiab, Municipal Livestock Coordinators, PVO agricultural extension workers, and various other stakeholders invested in the province’s thriving livestock sector.
In a statement, Verzon emphasized the efforts between the PVO and the seven municipal agriculture offices in steering the province towards sustainable growth in the animal industry.
