LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Government of Apayao has been awarded a P3 million Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) after successfully passing the rigorous 2024 SGLG assessment.
Granted by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), said funding will be directed towards bolstering the province’s creative industries by providing equipment for the soon-to-be-completed Apayao Museum.
The P3 million funding will be used to acquire equipment such as video, photography gear, and animation tools to support local artists and creatives, and to promote growth and innovation in the sector.
DILG – Apayao Engr. Mayer Max Adong officially turned over the check during a ceremony likewise attended by DILG-CAR officials. Representing the Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) were Atty. Alyssa Du-Sampaga (SGLG Focal Person), Engr. Henry Caluducan (PPDC), and Regina Basang (Local Revenue Collections Officer IV).
The SGLG is regarded as the gold standard and a prestigious program that recognizes and incentivizes outstanding local government performance, promoting transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery. By Loremia Pareja, Diocen Tolentino
