City officials recently approved the amended recommendation of the Committee on Laws, Human rights and Justice endorsing certain requests and for the approval and issuance of business permits for all similarly situated applications subject to conditions that will be imposed by concerned offices of the local government.
Under Resolution No. 269, series of 2024, local legislators stated that during the recent deliberation of the said matter, the Committee accepted the suggested amendment for the inclusion of all similarly situated requests where their application for issuance of business permits should be granted subject to the conditions that will be imposed by concerned offices for the said purpose.
Earlier, the council considered a letter dated April 15, 2024 of Jovit Anthony Bautista requesting the issuance of a special business permit for their convenience store located at No. 205, Purok 3, Dontogan, Baguio City; a letter dated March 7, 2024 of Angeline Pagui-in Li-is requesting assistance for the issuance of a special permit for their proposed business, boarding house, located at Purok 12, Upper Pinget Barangay, Baguio City and a letter dated April 22, 2024 of Corazon Ducusin Ogena requesting the issuance of a temporary or special business permit to Mermaid Boats, five boats, operating at the Burnham lake while she is on the process of obtaining a regular business permit.
The Committee on Laws, Human rights and Justice, in its separate 3rd endorsements dated April 24, 2024, recommended to positively endorse the three requests to the City Permits and Licensing Division of the City Mayor’s Office subject to other existing conditions imposed on similar endeavors.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the City permits and Licensing Division, the concerned business owners and other offices of the local government for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
