ASIPULO, Ifugao – The town’s No. 4 top most wanted person and a member of the New Peoples Army (NPA) facing murder and frustrated murder charges voluntarily surrendered to combined police and military operatives at Cawayan, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Constancio Chinayog, officer-in-charge of the Ifugao Provincial Police Office, identified the rebel returnee as Oliver Attamalias Cyrus/Arman/Rayos, 25, single, and a resident of Cawayan, Asipulo, Ifugao.
Relatedly, said person was recruited on October 2009 at Sitio Maloy, Cawayan, Asipulo, Ifugao as “Kandidong Kasapi” by Casimiro Binayon alias Peter/Igam. After which, he took oath and became full-time “Ganap na Kasapi” member on June 2010 under SPP Ifugao.
He has pending warrants of arrest issued by Judge Romeo Habiling of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 4 in Lagawe, Ifugao for murder and frustrated murder charges.
The rebel returnee was subsequently brought to the Asipulo Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposition of the cases filed against him.
