BONTOC, Mountain Province – Five candidates for the Man of the Philippines search visited Mountain Province Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan, Jr. in this capital town on July 4, 2018.
The contenders were accompanied by Gilbert Espiritu, International Executive Director, Man of the Philippines Organization and Gamberino Bonavita, an Italian who is an Honorary Executive of the said organization and one of the sponsors of this big event.
The names of the 5 contestants and the places they are representing were the following: Ivan Hebron-Zambales, Victoriano Realino II-Naga City but representing Filipino Community in Taiwan, Frank Lester Cadiente- Laoag City, Jesoni Loreto-Cebu, Jay-R Falisong, Belwang, Mountain Province
Gilbert Espiritu said that there are 60 nominees nation-wide. He thanked Gov. Lacwasan, the mayors of the municipalities and some individuals of Mountain Province for their all out support to Jay-R Falisong. He further said that the candidates are being brought to places nation-wide to promote the tourist sites and preserve the culture and arts of the Filipinos.
Bonavita, on the other hand, pointed out that some of the candidates will be brought to Europe for exposure.
Meanwhile, Jay-R Falisong was adjudged man of the crowd during the Gala Fashion Show, which is the first major activity in the selection process, on June 30, 2018 that was held at Chateau Royale, Nasugbu, Batangas. Further, he was among the 5 candidates who were selected among the 60 to promote the advocacies of man of the Philippines in social media, and one of the 10 nominees who was given the opportunity to conduct modeling in Europe.
