The city government is bringing the vaccination program not only to the barangay but also to workplaces through the mobile vaccination.
Thus, work area administrators and business establishment owners in the city are requested to inform the Baguio City Health Services Office (CHSO) of their available schedule, venue and the number of employees eligible for vaccination.
According to Assistant City Health Services Officer Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes, screeners and vaccinators with enough supply of vaccines shall be deployed to venues, as soon as schedules are arranged.
This is part of the creative or innovative moves of the CHSO to get all of the city’s 281,000 eligible population vaccinated. Employees who could not get out of the workplace within working hours are scheduled to be jabbed in their respective areas, thus eliminate unnecessary local travel, lining up and jostling at other sites.
Vaccinees however, should register online with bakuna.baguio.gov.ph and present other documents such as Senior citizen cards for the elderlies, medical clearance for A3s or those with comorbidities, certificate of employment (COE), valid identification cards, or original barangay/residence certificates issued within six months, with official’s signature.
Brillantes made the pronouncement during the city hall Ugnayan last Wednesday.
She implored for everybody to get vaccinated for their protection. “Para po hindi tayo habulin ng Covid-19 infection,” she said. Earlier, she was assured by Mayor Benjamin Magalong of an ample stock of vaccines for all.
For this weekend, as per request of the Philippine Export Zone Authorities and their families numbering to more than Thirteen Thousand (13,000) shall be catered to.
“We are not giving up on the fight against Covid, we work and move on,” Brillantes ended. – Julie G. Fianza
