City officials recently commended Angelica Balusdan Servinas for winning as Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador for Capacity Development and Jan Marveeno Palispis for able representing the city as Mr. Baguio with multiple special wards during the recently concluded Search for Mr. and Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador 2023 last July 14, 2023 held in Pudtol, Apayao.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Levy Lloyd Orcales, local legislators underscored that the recent accomplishments of Ms. Servinas and Mr. Palispis serve as an inspiration for the whole city and are worthy of emulation of the people, especially the youth.
The 2023 Search for Mr. and Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador was organized by the Regional Development Council (RDC) in the Cordillera and the regional office of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) with the aim to significantly increase the awareness of the youth in the Cordillera on the rationale and benefits of regional autonomy.
The said pageant was designed to identify promising young leaders from the different parts of the region who will strongly advocate for cordillera autonomy and to nurture a community that is united for genuine development of the Cordilleras.
Baguio City was ably represented by Servinas, a resident of Sto. Tomas Proper barangay, as Ms. Baguio and Palispis, a resident of Loakan Proper barangay, as Mr. Baguio
During the extent of the Search for Mr. and Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador 2023, both Servinas and Palispis portrayed unquestionable professionalism, excellence and dedication with the support of their handlers, friends and family members.
The council claimed that the outstanding performance of Servinas led to her being crowned as Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador for Capacity Development 2023 while Palispis was able to garner multiple special awards during the said search.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Servinas and Palispis for their information, guidance and ready reference.
