City officials recently congratulated and commended the Baguio Cosplayers ‘Team Kogeki’ for winning as the Best in Action category – AFK Journey Award, World Cosplay Summit 2024 in Nagoya, Japan.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that Team Kogeki’s excellent achievement in a prestigious world class competition brought pride and honor to the city, thus, the members deserve the appropriate commendation and recognition from the local government and the entire creative community of the city.
Earlier, representative cosplayers from 36 countries and regions showcased their talents and skills at the Aichi Arts Center for the World’s Best Cosplay Performance Contest held in Nagoya, Japan.
Jayvee Lagman and Chazz Manian De Ville, cosplayers from Baguio, represented Team Philippines in this contest and competed against talented cosplayers from the different parts of the world.
These cosplayers bested other cosplayers from various regions across the country which earned them the honor of representing the country in the prestigious World Cosplay Summit in Japan held last month.
The council stressed that commendation is given to Team Kogeki for showcasing their exceptional talents on the international stage during the said competition.
