City officials recently congratulated and commended Xerge Angelo G. Daet, Caster Lan F. Pacya and Mark Leonard D. Albela of the Baguio Dance Sports Team for winning in the World Dance Sports Federation (WDSF) Cebu Open 2023 and PDSF 3rd quarter ranking and competition 2023.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., local legislators stated that the aforementioned high school student’s exceptional achievements are worthy of praise and emulation, especially for young athletes in the city making the entire people and officialdom proud of such incredible achievements.
Earlier, high school students from Baguio city joined the WDSF Cebu Open 2023 and PDSF 3rnd quarter ranking and competition 2023 held at Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Lahug, Cebu City.
Accompanied by their dedicated head coach Charibel Pingawan and supportive parents, the Baguio Dance Sport delegation consisting of talented high school students and are active members of the Baguio Dance Sport Team triumphed in the aforesaid competition, Xerge Angelo G. Daet – Baguio City National High School – gold – solo tango elite B2, silver – solo youth C elite, bronze – solo youth C standard and gold – solo C elite; Caster Lan F. Pacya – Baguio City National High School – Special Program in the Arts – gold – solo youth C standard, gold – solo youth C elite and gold – solo youth C elite; and Mark Leonard B. Arbila – Baguio City National High School – Special Performing Arts – gold – junior rumba Latin American discipline and silver – junior 2C 3 dance.
Further, the three winners are active members of the Baguio Dance Sport Team under the LBY Residence Art program.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the aforesaid winners and the institution where they belong for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
