Galpo appealed to the people to sustain their compliance to the minimum public health standards such as the wearing of face masks and shields, observance of physical distancing and the practice of personal hygiene and disinfection to prevent them from contracting the deadly virus and to help in avoiding the further surge in cases that could lead to the local health care system being overwhelmed and the frontliners unduly stressed.
She admitted that home isolation is now being allowed for patients who are able to pass the prescribed criteria to help in reducing the number of individuals being brought to the health facilities and isolation units so as not to contribute in the congestions in the said areas and for them to be able to recover from the illness with the monitoring of the members of the barangay health emergency teams (BHERTs).
