City officials recently congratulated and commended the City Tourism Operations Office and the City Administrator’s Office of the local government for winning several awards during the Tourism Pearl Awards.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., local legislators stated that the superb performance of the City Tourism Operations Office is worthy of emulation.
Further, its recent achievement is considered to be exceptional that truly makes the entire city very proud.
Earlier, the City Tourism Operations Office won the Most Outstanding Tourism Officer and Grand Winner – Best Tourism Week/Month Celebration, Baguio Tourism Month Celebration 2022.
The prestigious Tourism Pearl Awards program conducted by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines, is an annual competition open to all local government units to present their exceptional tourism practices, projects and innovations.
Aside from these awards, the City Tourism Office also bagged 1st runner-up – Best Cultural Festival – Ibag-iw Festival; 1st runner-up – Best Program for Culture and the Arts – Mandeko Kito, Sining Eskinita, Session road Sundays, and community artscape and 1st runner-up – Best video for Tourism Promotions Award – Himinga Baguio.
Various tourism officials from the different local governments graced the said occasion that was held at the Newcoast Convention in Boracay Island.
