BAGUIO CITY – The city’s No. 39 top drug personality died after he was shot to death by two still unidentified suspects in front of a stall at Slaughterhouse Compound, here, Thursday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, City Director of the Baguio City Police office (BCPO), identified the fatality as De dios Nider, 35, married, businessman, and a resident of Bengao, Bakakeng Central, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was sitting in front of a stall when two still unidentified armed suspects suddenly appeared from nowhere and fired at him once hitting him on the head before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned bystanders to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to a lone gunshot wound on his head.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team recovered from the crime scene a spent shell of a still unknown calibre that was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
