Baguio City – The city’s no. 9 drug personality was injured after he was shot by two still unidentified bonnet-wearing men inside the city public market, here, around 6AM Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Police authorities identified the injured drug personality as Romel Mapili, 34, laborer, native of San Fabian Pangasinan, and a resident of Padre Zamora, Baguio City.
Initial investigation showed the victim was walking inside the public market when he was fired upon by the two bonnet-wearing armed suspects.
The victim sustained two gunshot wounds on his right arm and a gunshot wound on his neck. He was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
Mapili is in the drug watchlist pf the police and anti-narcotics agents. He is now recovering from the injuries he sustained.
