ITOGON, Benguet – A 48-year old baker was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant for two counts of rape in relation to the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Anti-Child Absue Act in his residence at Camisong, Luacan, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individual as Rolando Bilog Tama alias Rolando Bilog Taima, 48, baker, native of Balawan, La Union and a resident of Camisong, Luacan, Itogon, Benguet.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Rufus G. Malecdan, Sr., of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 9 in La Trinidad for two counts of rape in relation to the provisions of RA 7610 with a recommended bail of P200,000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested wanted person was brought to the Itogon Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him.
