BARLIG, Mountain Province – Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. led the turn-over of the finished wards of the extension building of Barlig District Hospital today, January 25, 2023.
The building was funded by the provincial government and health department under their Health Enhancement Program. The wards are expected to decongest the administrative building of the hospital which is being utilized at the moment as wards.
During their speeches, the top officials assured the audience of the continuation of the unfinished sections of the building.
“With the decrease in the National Tax Allocation, we will still find ways to prioritize the completion of the building with the help of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan,” the governor said.
Dr. Annie Pekas, Provincial Health Officer, on the other hand, challenged the employees of the hospital to level up in their service delivery to justify the physical improvements and developments of the hospital.
Aside from the above, the ceremony was graced by Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, Vice Mayor of Barlig Delio Focad, Barlig Chief of Hospital Janice Ann M. Sepulchre, staff of the hospital and visitors, and employees from the provincial government.
