City officials recently congratulated and commended the Baguio Central University (BCU) Chamber choir for winning its first ever national competition held at the Tarlac City Choral Festival and Competition last June 1-2, 2024.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the achievement of the BCU Chamber choir not only showcases their personal excellence but5 also brought pride and honor to the city.
Earlier, the BCU Chamber choir demonstrated unparalleled talent, dedication and musical excellence that culminated in the attainment of the prestigious Gold Diploma in the Mixed and Equal Voices category and Silver Diploma in the Musika Sacra category at the 2nd Sing, Tarlac Sing Choral Festival and Competition 2024.
The council noted that the aforesaid historic achievement marks a monumental milestone on the choir’s journey, symbolizing the culmination of tireless effort, unwavering commitment and extraordinary musicality.
Further, the success of the BCU Chamber choir under Dr. Margarita Cecilda B. Rillera in the said national competition stands as a shining testament to the transformative power of music in fostering unity, cultural appreciation and artistic expression.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the BCU Chamber choir and the administration and management for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
