LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – With the theme Guro: KabalikatsaPagbabago, the provincial government, together with the Schools Division Office of Benguet, recognized 11 outstanding secondary teachers and school heads for their invaluable contribution in delivering quality education to the Filipino youth during the Second Benguet Teachers’ Day held at the Provincial Dome, Wangal, here, recently.
The awardees come from the various secondary schools in the province namely: Junaria S. Dio-al, Outstanding Mathematics Teacher; Rosalie S. Anhibey, Outstanding Science Teacher; Tuesda C. Lucio, Outstanding English Teacher; Mariliese C. Yangken, Outstanding ESP Teacher; Corazon J. Villena, NatatangingGurosa Filipino; Josephine P. Ladia, Outstanding AralingPanlipunan Teacher; Josie S. Tindo, Outstanding MAPEH Teacher; and Imelda D. Espiritu, Outstanding EPP/TLE Teacher.
Meanwhile, Eric P. Sabado was awarded as Outstanding ALS Implementer. Wilfred C. Bagsao, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) for Mathematics, emerged as the Outstanding EPS while Nestor O. Dalay-on settled as the Outstanding Secondary School Head.
Outstanding elementary teachers, school heads, several schools, and teachers from the private schools were also recognized on the said event.
Each awardee received aplaque of recognition in appreciation for their invaluable service, dedication, and passion for teaching.
The celebration of Benguet Teachers’ Day was in compliance with Provincial Ordinance No. 15-170 declaring last Friday of September of every year as Official Teachers’ Day in the Province of Benguet.
