LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Members of the Mister and Miss Benguet Leadership and Youth Advocacy Development (LAYAD) Council conquered the national runway with elegance and confidence as they flaunted fashions by Benguet designers.
Mr. and Ms. Benguet 2022 Youth Advocates Jeremiah Bugtong, Kevin Claud Beray, Az Dio-as, Gian Marie Amuasen Tokiyas, Cleciaflor Balabag, Jamie Dumyong Guinsiman, Maida Faith Basilio, and Gweyn Sannadan shone during the just-concluded Hinabing Kultura Philippine Pride Fashion Week held on June 10 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Center, Quezon City.
The event, which was organized and produced by Don Cristobal, a renowned designer and artist, highlighted Filipino craftsmanship and artistry in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day and the Pride Month.
Making the participation of Team Benguet a total success was Sunmart which eagerly shared its resources. Dr. Ryan Guinaran, Executive Assistant to Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas and an adviser of the LAYAD Council, accompanied the Benguet Team to show support. In his socmed post, Dr. Guinaran thanked all the people behind the realization of the activity.

Benguet designers featured during the event were Benguet Indigenous Youth Arts Guild (BIYAG) awardees for fashion design Stella Jezebelle Velasco, and Julienne Paran, together with graduating fashion entrepreneur student Zenny Cabading Pilsona of Benguet State University.
Recognizing the talent and skills of iBenguet when it comes to fashion designing and modeling while promoting the local inabel weaving industry, fashion events featuring Benguet are being considered by the provincial government in collaboration with partners in culture and the arts. By SAP Jr.
