BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. commenced the Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya Baguio at Melvin Jones Grandstand and Football Grounds recently.
In line with the theme “Blossoms Beyond Boundaries,” a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with city officials, the Baguio Flower Foundation Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFFI) board of trustees, and guests before opening the walk-in registration for the open painting and exhibition to the public.
The competition was divided into four categories, where both the amateur and professional categories accumulated a total of 20 participants each; the family category had over 11 participants; and the non-competing category garnered over 15 participants, totaling 56 participants overall.
Paints and canvases were provided to the participants on site.
Each category’s winners will be announced on March 02, 2025, at Melvin Jones Grandstand, wherein the amateur category winner will receive 5,000 pesos, the professional category winner will receive 10,000 pesos, and the family category winner will receive 15,000 pesos. By Dessa Joi Peralta
