TABUK CITY, Kalinga – SSUPT. Neil Caranguian, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Operations for the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), SPUT. Arvin Aquino, fire marshal for Kalinga, and SINSP. Roland Rivera, Tabuk City Fire Marshal, visited the city government, specifically the city’s Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) operations.
The ARD also met with representatives from the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BLPO), City Health Services Office, City Treasurers Office, and other departments, according to Pierre Galicia of the BLPO, “In-explain mi ti business process flow iti offices,” he remarked, with Caranguian also asking about the combined inspection teams.
He further explained that they conduct post-inspection first, which means they would check to see if the business information provided by the establishments were accurate when they applied for a permit and if they were in compliance with all applicable national laws, including the fire and sanitation codes.
For the pre-inspection, Galicia said that this is conducted during the third quarter of the year. When asked about the BFP’s services, Galicia said that the BFP had been carrying out their roles as partners in BOSS in a suitable manner. “Di dinamag na (Caranguian) kanyak nu ok ti services iti BFP ket inbagak nga mayat. There is a one-stop shop there, but it’s not a cubicle,” he said in conclusion.
