LUNA, Apayao – Board Member Vincent Talattag was re-elected as Chairperson of the Apayao Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD), with Atty, Gerriahzon Sebastian named as the new Vice Chairperson during the group’s 5th assembly at the Apayao State College (ASC) Luna Campus on October 22, 2024.
Presided over by Talattag, the meeting focused on restructuring the group’s leadership and membership, with a particular emphasis on expanding representation from various sectors and reaching out to other places as venue for succeeding meetings.
During the meeting, the group saw the active participation of National Line Agency Representative Brendo Failoga, Academe Rep. Sonia Belarde, Religious Group Rep. Ptr. Norlie Pagdilao, Women Sector Rep. Mailah Haylee Ballesteros and Senior Citizen Rep. PSI Ruben De Jesus (Ret).
The group members identified sectors in the community that would be part of the PAGPTD that could help improve further the services of the Philippine National Police (PNP) as follows: Business Sector – Engr. Jonathan Yacas, Businessman; Information Technology- Virginia Baculi, Apayao DICT; Non-Government Organization -Dir. Noemi Cabaddu, Director Saint Paul University Foundation; Retirees Representative – Fire Captain Delfin Español (Ret); Youth Sector – Hanz Palacay, Provincial SK Federation President.
With the reorganization of the PAGPTD’s set of officers, the members vowed to continue supporting the PNP and share innovative ideas in order for them to be more efficient and effective public servants for the yApayaos.
The PAGPTD plays an important role in providing advice and supporting the PNP in its efforts in transforming and developing its operations. By Jess Christley Marquez
