BOLINEY, Abra – The town’s No. 10 top most wanted person facing child abuse charges was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant in his hideout at Bakigan, Poblacion, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the arrested wanted person as Agtanang Luben Balao-As, 68, married, retired PNP member and a resident of Poblacion, Boliney, Abra.
He was arrest6ed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Rafael F. Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 58 in Bucay for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law with a recommended bail of P80,000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested wanted individual was brought to the Boliney Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him.
