BONTOC, Mountain Province – The municipal government entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the ‘CALUTTIT Teen Center’ or dubbed as ‘The Project’ with Barangay Caluttit for the establishment and sustainability of their community-based teen center on September 30, 2024, at the Mayor’s Conference Hall.

The Teen Center provides adolescents with a space to discuss various issues and concerns affecting them, receive counseling, and develop essential life skills. The center aims to help youth manage their lives responsibly, while also offering a place to relax, play games, listen to music, watch movies, and socialize. By engaging in these activities, the center hopes to prevent idle time that can lead to risky behaviors, such as indulging in vices or violating laws.
Present as witnesses during the significant event were Municipal Health Officer Dr. Diga Kay Gomez and Population Program Officer Elizabeth Faba-an of the Population Development Office, Local Youth Development Officer Ross Kiat-ong, and Stephanie Kanongkong of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
