BONTOC, Mountain Province – Tourism stakeholders and barangay employees and officials of Bontoc participated in the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) training on Filipino Brand of Service Excellence held at Myrna’s Hotel, Bontoc, Mountain Province on May 6, 2024.
According to Bontoc Mayor Jerome B. Tudlong, the training was conducted in preparation for the South East Asian Trail Running Cup (SEATRC), which will be held in the capital town of Bontoc.
This trail run will cover the 11 barangays of the Poblacion, Bontoc Ili, Caluttit, Alab Oriente, Alab Proper, Balili, Guina-ang, Maligcong, Tocucan, Can-eo, and Samoki.
Tudlong also said that the SEATRC is one of the tourism activities of Bontoc that will run from June 19-23, 2024. It will be coordinated by the municipal government, in partnership with the provincial government, the Office of the Congressman, and various partners, Tudlong said.
In addition, it is expected that the SEATRC will bring almost a thousand participants to the capital town.
DOT Resource Speaker Dr. Mary Beth So relayed her expectation that the participants of the training will be able to apply what they have learned in the training to the upcoming SEATRC and other tourism endeavours that will showcase the best services that Bontoc has to offer. By HENT
