BONTOC, Mountain Province – The municipal government expressed its heartfelt gratitude to four dedicated retirees during the Salamat-Mabuhay Program held on February 14, 2025, at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol Auditorium.
The retirees honored for their years in service included midwife Lilia Angagka from the Municipal Health Office (MHO), who dedicated 36 years and five months of her life in government service; midwife Jane Almendral who concluded her career at the MHO after 16 years of dedicated service; revenue collection clerk Godeliva Patingan who served in the Office of the Municipal Treasurer for 25 years and eleven months; and draftsman Raymundo Pangesfan who contributed 34 years and eight months of service in the Office of the Municipal Engineer.
During the ceremony, the retirees shared reflections on their experiences as civil servants, emphasizing their passion for public service and their commitment to the community. They expressed deep appreciation for their colleagues and the opportunities provided by the municipal government, which allowed them to serve the community and support their families.
Family members, immediate supervisors and coworkers also expressed their gratitude both to the municipal government and the retirees for fostering a supportive and nurturing work environment. They conveyed their wishes for the retirees’ good health and looked forward to spending quality time with them in retirement.
Vice Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen extended his warm thanks for the retirees’ dedicated service and wished them luck and blessings as they embark on their retirement journey.
Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., also conveyed his best wishes encouraging the retirees to stay engaged in their passions, enjoy their hobbies, and continue to be active contributors to the community.
In recognition of their invaluable contributions, the municipal government awarded each retiree a Plaque of Lifetime Service Award.
Additionally, on behalf of the Bontoc Municipal Employees Union (BMEU), President Ross Kiat-ong and HRMO Cyprine Chilem handed over the cash incentives for the retirees. The retirees also received tokens of appreciation from the respective offices to which they belong, namely, the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Diga Kay Gomez; the Municipal Treasury Office led by Municipal Treasurer Lourdes Austria, and the Office of the Municipal Engineer, headed by Engr.
