BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Municipality of Bontoc is one of the Best performing Local Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs) for two years, from 2019 to 2020.
The 2021 ADAC Awarding Ceremony was done via Facebook live-streaming on the DILG’s official Facebook Page on December 10, 2021.
The ceremony is in accordance with the 2019 and 2020 ADAC Performance Audit conducted by the Department of Interior Local Government (DILG), in coordination with the members of the National Audit Team, composed of national representatives from the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Caritas Manila as a Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative.
According to Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Lourdes Claire Peel, Bontoc garnered 100% for both Assessment Score and High Functionality Adjectival rating for two consecutive years.
Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey who is also the Chairperson of the Municipal Anti –Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) lauded the efforts of the partner agencies, stakeholders, and the community for showing their support in the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign.
Other awardees from Mountain Province for 2019 and 2020 are the the municipalities of Barlig, Tadian, Sadanga, Bauko, and Provincial Government of Mountain Province with the Municipality of Paracelis as an addition for 2020.
