BONTOC, Mountain Province – Municipal Health Officer Dr. Diga Kay Gomez announced that the Bontoc Rural Health Unit–Konsulta has been granted a Certificate of Accreditation from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, valid from February 16, 2022 until December 31, 2024.
In the same manner, the Municipal Health Office-Laboratory has also been issued a license to operate as a primary and non-institution-based care facility by the Department of Health valid from January 1, 2023 until December 32, 2023.
The clinical laboratory provides the following services: microscopy, hematology, serology, and microbiology.
In this regard, Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr. mentioned that the acquisition of the license to operate and accreditation allow for a more efficient and affordable approach to improving and promoting public health which is one his administration’s priorities.
“We believe that ensuring the health of our community is essential. Thus, improving health facilities and delivering effective health services or programs help create a safe and more resilient community,” the mayor added.
