BONTOC, Mountain Province – The municipal government recently blessed the newly acquired Type 1 Ambulance from the Cordillera office of the Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD-CAR).
Bontoc Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr., Representative Maximo Dalog Jr. who was represented by Atty. Brent Focasan, gratefully received the ambulance at the DOH-CHD-CAR Compound, Baguio City on October 11, 2022.
The ambulance worth 2.1-million is fully-equipped with medical apparatus, equipment, and supplies.
In an interview, Mayor Tudlong expressed his profound gratitude to the DOH-CHD-CAR for their unending support to the municipality.
“On behalf of the people and officialdom of Bontoc, I thank the DOH-CHD-CAR for the provision of a fully-equipped ambulance as the municipality is in need of additional ambulance in order to provide more competent and improved health services to the community,” he added.
Likewise, Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Diga Kay Gomez, thanked the DOH-CHD-CAR for their support in the health programs of the municipality adding that the newly-acquired ambulance would be of great benefit in the delivery of health services to the community. She mentioned that one day after its blessing, the new ambulance was used to transport a patient from Bontoc to Baguio City.
Other recipients from Mountain Province are Barlig Rural Health Unit; Anastacia-Rafael Sagel Memorial Hospital; Besao District Hospital; Barlig District Hospital; and Paracelis District Hospital.
