LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The provincial government headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas recently, turned over a total of 26 robot building tools to the Schools Division Office of Benguet headed by Superintendent Gloria Buya-ao.
Witnessing the Memorandum of Agreement signing were board members Hon. Florencio Bentrez, Hon. Johannes Amuasen, and Hon. Ronald Kimakim.
Governor Diclas said the learning tools aim to help promote students’ creativity while he recognizes their skills and interest in robotics.
SDS Buya-ao, meanwhile, thanked Governor Diclas and the entire officialdom of the provincial government for the procurement of the robotics learning tools as they aspire to provide opportunities for more students to realize their creativity and innovate robots which are beneficial to the community.
The superintendent added that the province has been winning national and international robotics competition, however, she mentioned only two schools have been joining. With the materials they received, she expressed hope for more schools both elementary and secondary to enjoy and join robotics activities not only in those in the local but in international events as well.
