BOKOD, Benguet – A 5-year old boy died after he was rammed by the rear wheel of an elf truck driven by his father when he was parking the vehicle below their residence at Palansa, Bila, here, on New Year’s Day.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Jesie P. William, 5, while the suspect was his own father, Marcelino Lacsay William, 33, farmer, a resident of Palansa, Bila, Bokod, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the driver was parking their elf truck on reverse position below their residence when he did not notice that his son already jumped off from the vehicle and was subsequently rammed by the rear wheel of the said vehicle.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned residents to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple fatal wounds on the different parts of his body.
The case is the subject of further investigation by the responding police operatives while his father voluntarily surrendered to the police for him to answer for the said crime.
