SABLAN, Benguet – A barangay secretary died after the owner-type jeep he was driving fell on a 20-meter deep ravine at sitio Abuloy, Bayabas, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Patricio Quiret Dalis, of legal age, married, barangay Secretary and resident of Sitio Payda, Bayabas, Sablan, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was driving his vehicle en route to his residence when it allegedly suffered from mechanical trouble until it fell on a ravine in the place of incident.
The victim was declared dead on the spot by the municipal health officer due to multiple head and body injuries due to the said incident.
