A Baguio-based Feng Shui master disclosed that there are bright prospects for the proposed implementation of big-ticket projects by the local government this year because it is the start of another cycle of the Chinese Lunar calendar wherein change will likely be realized and achieved.
Adriel Trinidad, one of 2 Filipino Feng Shui master accredited by the International Feng Shui Association, said that what is important for the local government is for it to be able to choose the good date when to start the planned implementation of the big ticket projects wherein he suggested that the same should be done either by the middle or the end of the year.
He described Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong to be impulsive that is why the local chief executive should not make quick decisions in terms of the implementation of the programmed development projects as the same might eventually lose the support of the people once it will be done in a quick manner.
Further, the Feng Shui master claimed that Mayor Magalong must be able to choose the right advisers and not rely on secret friends so that he will be able to gain the support of the majority of the sectors in the city which had been advocating for change.
Earlier, the local government programmed the implementation of big ticket projects such as the establishment of the city’s integrated command center, the rehabilitation of the 34-hectare Burnham Park complex, the put up of uniform sidewalks among others this year after the completion of the required processes to jumpstart the realization of the desired better Baguio.
Trinidad underscored that city officials cannot do the implementation of the development projects alone that is why there is a need for the local government to entice concerned sectors to support the aforesaid projects that will help in improving the state of the city as one of the prime tourist destinations in the country and bring back the old glory of the city.
He also suggested to Mayor Magalong to improve his social dealings and watch out for his health condition during the Year of the Young Metal Rat.
According to him, the development of the city is inevitable because of the fast changing times but it must be done in a manner by which there will be greater involvement of the concerned sectors of the city for the local government to be able to gain support because doing the same alone might result to greater disadvantages in the future.
Trinidad, together his mother Maria Teresa, graced the media briefing organized by the local government and the Filipino-Chinese community Thursday at the Hotel Supreme where the various activities for the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year in Baguio City was launched.
Feng Shui is a traditional practice originating from ancient China, which claims to use energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment.
Baguio City was the first local government in the country to institutionalize the annual celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year or Spring Festival with the enactment of Ordinance No. 18, series of 1999.
