LUNA, Apayao – A farmer died after he was allegedly manhandled by his own brother in the latter’s residence at Calabingan, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as a single, farmer, and a resident of barangay San Jose, Luna, Apayao while the suspect was named as his 51-year old brother, married, farmer, and a resident of barangay Salvacion, Luna, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect was on his way home when he was allegedly confronted by the victim that resulted to a fight which was eventually pacified.
The suspect was able to go home but the victim allegedly followed him and provoked the latter that again resulted to a commotion.
The suspect was able to pick up a wood and hit the victim before again hitting his head with a stone.
The victim’s lifeless body was recovered by responding police operatives in a creek in the place of incident while the suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police operatives and is now facing the appropriate charges that will be filed against him.
