CONNER, Apayao – A 22-year old man was injured after he was mauled and struck with a firearm by his own brother in the vicinity of their neighbourhood at Puguin, here, Monday afternoon.
Police authorities identified the victim as Bendo Isla Minao, 22 while the suspect was named as his own brother Alex Isla Minao, 32, both residents of Puguin, Conner, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect had a drinking session that resulted into a heated argument which was later pacified by concerned residents.
The suspect immediately went home and took his calibre 22 rifle and went to the scene and struck the victim several times.
The victim was rushed to a Cagayan-based hospital while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives who also confiscated the firearm used in the incident.
