BAGUIO CITY July 27 – An alleged member of the notorious Bukas Kotse Gang operating in Baguio and Benguet was arrested by police operatives after being caught in the act inside a motor vehicle and was already able to dismantle the car stereo of the same at Central Fairview here Sunday night.
Police authorities identified the arrested robber as Jonathan Gayab Moreno, 38, a driver and a resident of Middle Rock Quarry, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed a family member of Emily Obaldo Prado, 53, and a resident of Central Fairview accidentally peeped into their window and saw the victim allegedly forcible opening the driver’s side of the vehicle and then immediately informed her mother about the incident.
Prado then sought the assistance of her family members and barangay officials who were able to collar the victim while inside the vehicle and in possession of the dismantled car stereo amounting to over P3,000.
The arrested suspect was immediately turned over to responding police operatives for the filing of the appropriate case against him.
Police called on victims to Bukas Kotse incidents in the city to visit the police station to identify whether the arrested suspect was one of those who victimized their vehicles so that more charges will be filed against him.
