PEÑARRUBIA, Abra – A 54-year old businessman was injured after he was repeatedly shot by a still unidentified gun-wielding man at sitio Matit, Malamsit, here, recently.
Superintendent Mark Pespes, officer-in-charge of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the injured victim as Alfredo Mendoza Dionisio, 54, married, businessman, resident of Brgy. Angad Bacsil, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his wife were on their way home after visting their relatives who came from abroad in the said placewhen their vehicle was fired upon several times by a still unidentified gunman who positioned himself on the side of the road before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned citizens to the Seares Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while police operatives conducted a manhunt against the lone gunman.
