BANGUED, Abra – A 60year old businesswoman was injured after she was fired upon on her face by two still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men while fixing her things at the back of her vehicle along Zone 5, here, Thursday.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Veronica Cabañero Leones, 60 years old, separated, businesswoman, and presently residing at Sitio Bliss, barangay Angad, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim, together with her daughter and granddaughter, were fixing her things on the back of her vehicle when two still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men suddenly approached her and shot her on her face before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by concerned individuals to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation against them.
Probers are still conducting an in-depth investigation on the real motive behind the said incident.
