BAGUIO CITY – A 66-year-old businesswoman died after she was stabbed to death by still unidentified individuals who barged into her residence and carted away valuable things at San Carlos Heights, Irisan shortly before lunch, Friday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Cosia Lagyop Fernandez, 66, a businesswoman and a resident of San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City.
Initial investigation showed that the victim went to the house of his younger brother to seek help for her to be rushed to the hospital because of a stab wound on her chest.
She told his brother that she was stabbed by still unidentified individuals who entered her residence and carted away valuable things which she was able to notice.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for medical treatment but she later expired while undergoing medical treatment.
Probers are conducting an investigation on the motive of the killing and the possible identities of the suspects. By Dexter A. See
