BAGUIO CITY October 26 – The employee of the Baguio Water District (BWD), who was pinned down by a concrete slab while trying to inspect a rrepaired busted pipe, died several hours after being confined at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Rico Gargar Carillo, 26, single, pipe wielder and a resident of St. Joseph Village, Navy Base, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was conducting a final check for leaks on the damaged pipeline that was repaired within Amparo Heights, Camp 7, when the concrete slab above him collapsed and pinned him down.
Rescuers were able to extricate the unconscious victim from the debris after half an hour and was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment.
