PINUKPUK, Kalinga July 10 – A member of the Civilian Armed Forces GeographicalUnit (CAFGU) was injured after he was stabbed ans shot by a farmer while attending to his carabao at Alangigan, Apayan, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the injured individual as Jayson Balutoc, of legal age, married, CAFGU, and a resident of Sitio Alangigan, barangay Apatan, Pinukpuk, Kalinga while he named the suspect as Segundino Sagalon Gaano, of legal age, married, farmer and a resident of the place of incident.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was attending to his carabao when the suspect suddenly approached him and stabbed him on the face and then shot him on his back with a still undisclosed type of firearm before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives for him to answer for the crime he committed.
