LUNA, Apayao – The eagerly anticipated 61st founding anniversary and Lapat Festival 2024 events have been announced by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Calanasan.
Themed “Celebrating distinctive solidarity, upholding responsible environmental stewardship, and bracing for sustainable tourism,” this celebration intends to draw attention to the sustainable development, rich history, and cultural legacy of the town.
In honor of the municipality’s 61st year of development and advancement, the event highlights the Calanasan people’s tenacity and commitment to protecting the surrounding natural beauty via the Lapat System, an ancient indigenous method of managing natural resources.
Search for Taram se Dam-ag Naya Calanasan 2024 is the main event among several competitive activities that the festival promises.
The festivities will also feature an inter-cluster sports festival, an invitational women’s and men’s basketball and volleyball competition, a mural painting competition, a trade and tourism fair exhibit, a recognition night, and a cultural night.
LGU Calanasan and Mayor Shamir Bulut extend an invitation to all to participate in this historic event and enjoy the friendliness and kindness of their town.
