BONTOC, Mountain Province – The leadership of the Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) cited all concerned stakeholders for their uncompromising support that resulted to the successful staging of the two-day socio-cultural meet hosted by the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) here last October 26-27.
We consider this year’s successful Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) Regional Socio-cultural festival is an accomplishment and an evidence that more and more efforts are pooled to set in place CARASUC in the nationwide and in the global village, Dr. Nieves A. Dacyon, president of the Apayao State College (ASC) and chairperson of the CARASUC, said here recently.
She underscored that this year’s theme “Nurturing Nationalism and Cultural Sensitivity” for us is more than a mere sentiment. It is our natural seeking the right to self-determination. Our better end is becoming self-sufficient. With our limited resources, we again proved our establishment of a stable network with our partner agencies, NLAs and industries among others, which we are very much grateful of, to cope up with the more and more demand to integrate and grow efficiently.
Dacyon extended the CARASUC’s deepest commendation to all the participating State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) for the job well done as the organization congratulated all the Cordilleran youth who communicated their God-given talents in the just concluded event.
“We wish them the all the luck and our prayer as they will represent our region in the PASUC National Socio-cultural festival,” she stressed
The CARASUC chairperson also acknowledge the host SUC and the provincial government and communities of Mountain Province, for their special involvement in accepting the challenge of hosting one of this year’s anticipated events.
She also bestowed equal appreciation to the provincial officials and dozens of shepherds who extended their helping hands to the six State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in many different ways.
Most importantly, she cited the CARASUC is proud and honored to have for a guest a great man backed by an elite education; the man behind the United Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), Pasig City Rep. Roman T. Romulo. “As we cherish this reward, we offer him our acknowledgement pinned with our pledge of quality and excellence in education,” she said.
“Let us then continue to transcend the boundaries of regions; to bind our diversity as SUCs into a more relevant CARASUC to the region to the nations and to the global communities,” Dacyon said.
