City officials recently commended and congratulated Dr. Joselito C. Gutierrez, Executive Assistant to the University President of the Catholic-run St. Louis University (SLU) for being conferred the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines Catholic School Heroes Award for 2022.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., local legislators stated that Dr. Gutierrez is worthy of praise and emulation for his simple yet life-changing contributions to the Catholic community making the Louisian community and the entire city proud of such an incredible achievement.
Earlier, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Board of Trustees decided to confer the 2022 Catholic School Heroes Award to Prof. Joselito C. Gutierrez, Ph.D..
CEAP in its promotion of solidarity and unity of action among its member institutions towards fulfilling the evangelizing mission of the church in education recognizes the dedication of individuals in its member institutions from continuously promoting quality and transformative Catholic education.
Further, CEAP in acknowledging the said individuals who exemplify the CEAP values of Christ-centeredness, integrity, solidarity, stewardship, empowerment and service conferred the Catholic Heroes Award to the said heroes who make life-changing contributions in their own simple ways.
The award especially recognizes the perseverance, dedication and loyalty of individuals in CEAP member schools that really contributed to the development of their individual school communities.
Moreover, the award is in partnership with the Bato Balani, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit organization engaged in the conceptualization and implementation of education development programs.
Dr. Gutierrez continuously focuses on training teachers in teaching strategies, curriculum alignment and curriculum mapping in coming up with upgraded competencies.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Dr. Gutierrez and the SLU for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
