TABUK CITY, Kalinga – With the aim of strengthening community members through management capability and enhancement training (MCET), the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of Kalinga State University facilitated a seminar on Records Management and Resolution Making to barangay officials and employees on July 17, 2024.
Participants of the seminar comprised barangay officials, employees, health workers, and members of Sangguniang Kabataan and representatives from the different barangay associations.
One of the mandates of KSU is to extend services to the community. With this, KSU-CBAA implemented this extension project in Barangay Cabaruan with the primary objective of enhancing record management and resolution-making skills of barangay employees and those involved in the record keeping cycle and processes.
Participants expressed their insights on their learnings. They shared their actual observations and best practices on records management being applied in their respective offices. Participants also expressed their favorable response and rated the seminar-workshop as highly satisfied as reflected in the client satisfaction survey they answered.
Recognizing their partnership, both Barangay Ipil and KSU-CBAA collaboratively provide funds, supplies, and materials for the successful implementation of this seminar. This extension project is based on the result of the training needs assessment conducted by CBAA faculty in Barangay Cabaruan.
Close monitoring by the CBAA for sustainability of the impact of this seminar to the beneficiaries are to be expected to address their future concerns relevant to records management and resolution making. By Jonalyn W. Ayabo
