TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The city government, through the City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office (CBACRO), has completed 25 sessions of the school-based information education campaign on Moral Recovery Program (MRP) given to all secondary schools in the city participated by mostly senior high students.
During the final IEC held today at Bulo National High School, Assistant City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Officer Raul Albert said that the sessions strengthen the moral resources of the people rooted in Filipino culture, values and ideals that are pro-God, pro-people, pro-country and pro-nature.
He claimed that student-participants need this kind of activity to imbibe moral values and principles that would help them become better persons and thrive in their studies as well.
Lectures on indigenous core values of ‘paniyaw’, ‘ngilin’ and ‘bain’, as well as discussions on Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Kalikasan, and Maka-Bayan were provided.
City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Officer Reamcy Mar Adong added that with the success of the 25 IEC sessions, the same activity will be implemented next year and this time with all barangay officials as target participants.
The CBACRO believes that MRP is also necessary for barangay officials and employees to provide them the opportunity to reassess their practices in accordance with the working values and morality.
